Class Descriptions


All Levels Vinyasa- A multi-level class with some challenge that will invigorate and relax the body. Movement with breath is emphasized. All are welcome. Modifications will be suggested for beginners and advanced.


Beginner's Yoga- Gentle class that offers every student options and challenges. Emphasis is placed on moving kindly and patiently through stretches to gradually awaken the body and promote health. Perfect for those new to Yoga or wanting a more gentle practice.


Energetic Flow-A unique blend of dynamic flowing postures geared towards building strength, releasing tension, and creating flexibility. In this class you can expect to stretch every major muscle group in the body while working from a place of patience and persistence. Energetic flow is infused with breathing techniques to promote the overall health of the body. This is a vigorous class, but all all welcome!


Gentle Vinyasa-Gentle vinyasa is a peaceful flowing class designed to work the body and relax the mind. This class is open to all levels of yoga experience including beginners. All ages, shapes, and sizes are welcome.


Level II Vinyasa- Level II vinyasa is also affectionatly reffered to as kickin' asana. Like Chris's All-Levels class, only warmer, faster, louder, with more vinyasa and inversion joy. Mindful rest is encouraged at any time.


Yin Yoga-Yin yoga can be described as old school yoga. Alignment is generally relaxed. Heart rates are generally slow and smooth. This is vinyasa-free, no-sweat, meditative form of yoga, but it’s still challenging. Poses are held for extended periods with relaxed muscles. The focus is on the joints, the bones and the connective tissue. Chris will lead you through a Yin sequence that will relax you and make you feel terrific! This class is suitable for everyone, beginners or experienced practitioners, and will bring balance to your yoga practice!


Meditation Class-All are welcome. Chris teaches a non-sectarian approach to learning how to sit. He draws from many traditions including Centering Prayer, Transcendental Meditation, Passage Meditation, Buddhist Meditation techniques, classic yoga techniques and others. This class is a Karma class, with all proceeds donated to Miracle Hill. The suggested donation is $5, but is open to all, regardless of ability to pay.
